The third workshop held in Bijelina on 26 April focused on Nobel peace prize winner Wangari Muta Maathai, Kenyan environmentalist and poliltician, with 15-20 women the women’s organization Lara. The workshop included considering the roles of victim, victimizer and observer and other simulations to consider the capacity of the individual to cooperate creatively and to resist violence.
Viva Žene was host in Tuzla of the fourth workshop facilitated by Amra and Julianne in this series on 27 April. Again, a small group of women interacted on the topic of women building peace, this time looking at the life and work of Shirin Ebadi, Iranian human rights activist and judge. The workshop highlight was a simulation of individual resistance to collective patterns via a dance simulation.
